Westside Visit
June 7, 2016 - June 7, 2018
On June 7th 2016 we took our students for a visit to Westside (the departmental store).
The students were accompanied by a few of our volunteers. They had to converse with the Westside sales staff in English pretending they are buying something.
The Westside staff was extremely helpful, they made sure our students had a positive experience. The purpose of this exercise was to give the students a chance to practice what they had learnt in their Spoken English class and also to give them the confidence to be able to converse to strangers in English.
After the interaction the students and volunteers enjoyed a cup of coffee with eats at the cafeteria in West Side. This was an exciting new experience for the students!!!
